Our Adoption Journey with Procare

My husband and I always knew adoption would be part of our family story. Even before we got married, we talked about it and felt that it was the most meaningful way for us to build our family. 

 This year, 2024, after a restless night, I felt a strong push to finally start our adoption journey—a step we had been putting off for years. 

 That morning, we reached out to Procare. When we spoke with [PROCARE], our fairy godmother, we felt an instant sense of calm. Her kindness, empathy and thoughtful answers made us realize we were in the right place. 

The journey began, and while the screening process was thorough, it was smooth. It took about three months to complete, but we found ourselves stalling at times, caught up in our worries and what-ifs. Now, looking back, we can laugh at our hesitation. 

After completing the screening, we were placed on the waiting list. We expected a long wait, so we went about our lives. But just six weeks later, we got the life-changing call - we had been matched with our precious baby girl!  

It was amazing to see how Procare worked with another adoption agency to make this match happen. It showed us that they truly put the needs of the babies first, which is such an honorable, important thing. 

 Our little girl is perfect for us, she is a tiny warrior with a fierce spirit. We feel incredibly grateful to have had Procare by our side in making this dream come true. 

Sleep is scarce around our neck of the woods, but our hearts are so full. Our days are now filled with giggles, nature walks, and snuggles. Our little girl has added a new layer of meaning to our lives. We’re so thankful for Procare’s support in helping us turn our dream of a family into reality.
